I think we will get a win against Leeds and that will keep us up. I don't see us getting any more points than that to be honest.

If anything, we are more likely to get something out of Man City because life is twisted like that.

All those super computers that work out probabilities and shit have us at a 1% chance of going down.

I don't think there's too much to worry about, yet. We'll likely stay up by the skin of our teeth.

Yea, I think he was thinking one last push with the team he trust to get us safe then rest up after that with the ECL games in mind, but it's now backfired on him.

If we lose the next two, four defeats on the bounce won't look good, but Leeds haven't won in nine, and Forest once in thirteen, whoever loses tonight will be in a world of trouble. We still stay up by default, as was always likely.

I'm more concerned with him killing the players and in turn our chances of getting back into Europe by winning the ECL

When are some of you lot going to get get it into your heads that we are not going down? Some are so desperate to keep making a case for it after each round of games for it to happen, you can only wonder why that would be.

Next 3 games are (a)City,(h)Utd and (a)Brentford .
Can Two and the rest of Moyes lovers see us getting more than a point from those 3.
We will then go into the Leeds game needing to a least get a point. Then we have Leicester and avoiding defeat again will be the minimum. Great preparation for a ECL seminar final. Knackered players.
I would say rest the 1st team against City and hope for the best.
See what situation Moyes has put us in ?
Probably not because Two and his lot are not proactive at the least.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Bowen and even playing as he is he is starting no problem.

BUtT!!
Far to often when he has the ball in a good position he gets closed down and just does not have the capability to avoid the attention and keep going forward or side ways or even pass to keep the attack going. No he ends up going back and gets chased all the way back to eventually pass to our back four. When I think of Noble, Rice or Paqueta that does not happen, they make a tight turn and slip to the side or even side pass the defender and continue the attack. It gets to the point where defenders don’t go in so much on Rice as they know it is better to stand off, going in probably results in them getting past so better to stand off. But Bowen, no, defenders get straight at him and force him back. Why is that? Just doesn’t have the skill? Not physical enough? Can he not learn how to keep the ball and keep going forward? It annoys me…

BJ: I know exactly what I said. I got slaughtered by some for things I didn’t. The views I’m reading here today are far more nuanced into where it’s been going wrong.

You don't even know what you said....

What you said was that it wasn't all on Moyes that the players were as much to blame for being tired... you were mugged off because your view was not insightful and was contradictory

agree with simon s.

The club giving him the Rice Proceeds to further cement this dour footballing philosophy into the squad must not happen. Unfortunately Sullivan probably sees the Moyes style as a way to scrape enough points each season to guarantee survival, which is his measure of success.

When the new owners took over at Newcastle, it was obvious that Bruce was never going to suddenly start tearing up trees, money or no money and the first act was to politely fire him. Now look where they are with a decent manager and the right backing.

We have to hope Sullivan sells soon. He is the root of all out problems. Despite spending the required money at times, he backing Moyes to take the club places and that place is the championship. Its rinse and repeat unless we bite the bulllet and sack Moyes

I got slaughtered yesterday and told to piss off this site because some ranters on here thought I was digging out Moyes. I wasn’t. Today’s analysis and criticisms of Moyes from Sir Alf, Mex, Manuel and more have been really insightful.

Are some of you saying Moyes is not diligent with other peoples money. You want the Red Bull model he’s giving it to you 😩. Full of Bull model

The conversation probably went “Mr Sullivan, you can have Watkins for £40 mill or Ings for £12 mill with add ons”, he then went with the cheap knackered option

Scamacca, Ings, Cornet all a complete waste of time under the fraud. You could probably throw in Paqueta too, who is not being used as he should be. The thought of him being here next season, but surely Sullivan should see that giving him money to improve the team is akin to setting fire to it.

Just more of the same unfortunately, how many players over Moyes 2 periods at the club have become disillusioned or pissed off?
Alternatively how many have shone under Moyes guidance?

Quite a lot and very few. Despise this cunt for turning a promising group into Stoke Mk2.

Moyes has form of doing what he has done with Ings.
Look at Fornals, he is the shadow of a player he once was and players don't just become bad overnight, they are asked to do a job and coached in a certain way to fit into a certain style Moyes has made us a counter attacking team with a lack of pace. Iwe can play when we get the ball down, get hold of it and pass and move. Some of the football we played against Bournemouth was the west ham of old. Yesterday we needed something completely different against a palace side with pace to burn and it showed. Moyes never sets up to counter what the opposition has, he doesn't nullify any threats. Giving the likes of Cornet 2 minutes at the end and not playing to the strengths of Ings is fucking bizarre. Some players haven't performed this year but this season lies at the door of Moyes for once again using 14-15 players and burning them into the ground. He is a fucking fraud and if we win something, good, but he still needs a one way ticket out the door.

fraser - Yes, I said no he wouldn't in your response to your However a prime Ings wouldn't make a difference in Moyes set up..

To be fair I've always rated Ings and was pleased when we signed in, but been disappointed in spite of Moyes, just think he's had too many injuries now, getting older and lost his pace and acceleration, etc. I am not completely writing him off though, Steve may well be right and next season he may start banging them in under a new manager, but I won't be holding my breath.

His record at Villa wasn't very good at 48/13.

Manuel I'm agreeing with you he looks shit and past it. Let's face it only Antonio or someone who plays like him can function properly in one dimension Dave's formation.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Play Ings upfront and watch him score goals
Emery was flashed 12 million quid in his face and he took it knowing it was too good to turn down and he had enough in his squad for goals. We don't, didn't and Moyes lumped out 12 million and is now using Ings in way he has never been effective at. Wonderful management yet again.
He didn't play to the strengths of Haller and is doing the same with Ings and Scammaca but it's their fault not our fantastic winning manager.
